    30 minutes from the campsite - Today, everyone sees Cannes as the world capital of cinema, a scintillating city of starlets, glitterati and superyachts (often staying all-year-round!). It is a paradisiacal holiday venue for the wealthy and powerful, with its stir of international conventions and also, in summer, the thrill of holidaymakers treading on the red carpet of the Festival Hall steps, their heads in the stars.


    1 hour from the campsite - Once in your lifetime, you HAVE to go for a trip to Monaco! This mythical place, nestling between the Alps and the Mediterranean sea is the place that dreams are made of. Whether you are alone, as a couple, or with your family, the tiny Principality of Monaco offers you a universe of many facets - for romantic visits, simple tourism or business trips.

    Monte-Carlo, with it’s famous Casino, provides you with many discoveries. It’s a highly cultured place with its various museums, warm welcome and the best hotels in the world, its sumptuous gastronomy and famous restaurants.

    20 minutes from the campsite - Perched on a hill overlooking the countryside and the sea, Saint-Paul de Vence is a medieval village with its historic lanes and ramparts inviting you to stroll around in all seasons. Throughout your visit, you will find traces of the artists that have marked the village’s past, as well as those who are still living today. If St. Paul de Vence is a hotbed of creativity, the village is also a cultural destination: the Fondation Maeght, museums and heritage sites are the witnesses to a rich history and an artistic tradition for more than a century.


    25 minutes from the campsite - The Côte d’Azur, the French Riviera: its sun, its beaches... and especially its backcountry, a true haven of well-being, brimming with authentic flavours and fragrances!!! Rising from the hills above the Mediterranean is the city of Grasse, the perfume capital of the world, surrounded by the charming Provencal landscape and villages of the ‘Pays de Grasse’, the regional name for this breathtaking and tranquil countryside. Together, they form the French Rivera’s most beautiful balcony.


    15 minutes from the campsite - Perched on a rocky spur in the back-country behind Vence, Tourrettes-sur-Loup is a fortified village renowned for its cultivation of violets. The heart of the village, which has preserved its medieval architecture almost intact, is home to several studios and galleries run by artists and craftsmen: weavers, potters, ceramists, painters, sculptors, jewellers...


    35 minutes from the campsite - Built an a rocky outcrop at a height of 760 m, Gourdon ‘the Eagle’s Nest’ overlooks the Loup valley. The view over 80 kms of the French Riviera coast is incomparable. Gourdon also possesses a castle that is classified as a historical monument and famous for its magnificent gardens that were designed by Lenotre. Not forgetting the numerous local craftsmen's workshops that are an intrinsic part of the village.

For nature lovers


    50 minutes from the campsite - The Monts d'Azur Biological Reserve is a mosaic of open spaces (rocky cliffs, scree slopes and meadows) and outstanding woodland (pubescent oaks, beech, rowan .). Once a hunting reserve, it now is home to a wide variety of fauna including: chamois, red deer, roe deer, golden eagles, black woodpeckers and black grouse. More than 500 species can be found, of which 20 are protected under international agreements. The Reserve is in the commune of Thorenc, a 40 minute drive from Grasse and just over an hour from Draguignan and Nice.


    50 minutes from the campsite - A real aquatic paradise, the Lake St Cassien is highly appreciated by fishers and swimmers. In this lake you will enjoy a day’s swimming, diving or pedal boating, or just a reaxing family pic-nic.


    50 minutes from the campsite - Overlooking the Siagne Valley, Saint Cezaire sur Siagne is a traditional villlage in the surrondings of Grasse where the olive tree still has a key economic role. The village is also known for its many megalithic tombs and its beautiful caves and caverns.


    2 hours from the campsite - One of France's 10 national parks. Almost 600 km of clearly marked trails enable you to discover rich and varied fauna (chamois, marmots, etc., not to mention wolves!) and a wide diversity of flora (almost half of the 4200 species identified in France). Don't forget to admire the 30,000 cave paintings in the Valley of Marvels - a registered historical monument.


    2 hours from the campsite - The Verdon is a region of villages like Valensole, Riez, the high-perched Aiguines and the picturesque Bauduen ... typical locations and unforgettable landscapes.
    Rightly considered to be the most beautiful canyon in Europe by visitors from all around the world, the Verdon became a protected natural site in 1990, and also enjoys the label "Grand Site de France".


    30 minutes from the campsite - A score of gardens on specific themes can be visited on this 17.5-acre site. The greenhouse, one of the world's largest, re-creates seven different tropical or sub-tropical climates. With a playground for kids and a picnic area, the Parc Phoenix will be great for a family day out!


    50 minutes from the campsite - In this village by the sea, “SOS Grand Bleu Association” takes you on a boat trip to discover dolphins and whales in their protected natural environment named “the Mediterranean Sanctuary”.

    15 minutes from the campsite - The « Gorges du Loup » is an exceptional natural site for canyoning. From 8 years old and regardless of your level you can enjoy canyoning in the “Gorges du Loup”.

    Supervised by Destination Nature’s qualified guide, you will go on a journey (1/2 day or full day) to discover the variety of jumps, water slides and abseils that canyoning on the “Gorges du Loup” has on offer.
